DIY Nature Pinch Pots

You will need:
• air dry clay

• pressed flowers/leaves

(can buy online, in craft supply stores or press your own

• Mod Podge

(or similar craft glue used to seal and finish decoupage art)

• paintbrush

Step 1.
Take a piece of clay and form it into a ball. Stick your thumb or finger in the middle of the ball and start to gently press out to form a shallow bowl shape.

Tip.
A little bit of water will help with smoothing out any cracks and bumps.

Step 2.
Decorate the pots, adding dried pressed flowers and leaves. They can be quite delicate so tweezers can help for the fiddly bits! Once the flowers are in place, gently press them down into the clay so they lie flat. The air dry clay does have some moisture content, which can make dried leaves and flowers curl a little. This will be easily flattened once the Mod Podge or glue sealer is applied.

Step 3.
Using a paintbrush, gently add a coat of Mod Podge. This will be white at first but don't worry–it will dry clear. You might want to add a second coat too, for extra seal.
