Refresh and Organise Your Pantry Before The New Year

Wanting to do a final clean before the new year arrives? We’ve got the perfect tools to help you do just that! Investing in cleaning up your pantry is never a bad idea. Check out our tips below to give your pantry a little love and have it organised in time for Christmas and the New Year.

Consistency is Key
The easiest way to give your pantry a fresh, clean and streamlined look is to be consistent with your storage supplies. Ensure that colours, materials and textures of your storage containers match easily. Things can come in various sizes but it’s important to keep everything in a container in its proper place. Placement Tips
Placement of your pantry items is super important for easy access and saving time. Place all your seasonal items in baskets up high and all the kid-friendly items and essentials on your lower shelves. Utilise the space in between for all the items that you would use on an everyday basis!

To label or not to label?
If you are using storage cabinets and drawers as a pantry, it could be beneficial to load them with your items and then label so that you know exactly what’s in them. Never mix up sugar and salt or different types of flours again! Keep your utensils, tea towels and your most-used supplies within easy reach. If you’re using opaque containers, it would be a good idea to label them to know exactly what is in them. Otherwise, investing in clear and see-through storage options is a great way to be able to see what’s in your pantry at a glance.

Neaten Up Your Shelves
Take cans and jars of food off your shelves and store them up either higher or lower in the pantry. That way they will all look the same or similar from the angle you look at them at eye level. If you need to, install a wire shelf or drawer that will help you have easier access to find exactly what you need, hassle-free.

Using Your Containers In Other Parts Of The Home
If you’ve got some extra containers, it’s worth using them in other parts of your home too! A great way to neaten up some other spaces such as the bathroom or a desktop is to use your containers to store your most used items.
